Abstract

Sleep is a basic need that must be fulfilled by every human being, including postpartum mothers, the aim of knowing the effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation therapy on the quality of maternal postpartum sleep. Method: Using a quasy experiment design pre-post test control group design at Gunung Maria Tomohon Hospital with a sample size of 100 respondents, 50 respondents for the intervention group, and 50 respondents for the control group. The results showed a change in scores before and after treatment (p-value = 0.001; r = 0.368). Postpartum maternal sleep is needed so that it can be included in the postpartum education package, especially non-pharmacological therapy.
