EKSPLORASI PENGALAMAN PENDERITA HIPERTENSI TERHADAP KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS LANSOT KOTA TOMOHON
Tomohon City Health Office shows that hypertension is a health problem with the highest incidence in Tomohon City. To avoid the risk of complications from hypertension, sufferers need to undergo routine hypertension treatment. Based on observations in Prolanis activities at the Community Health Center, it was found that in patients with hypertension who are undergoing treatment, most are not compliant to consume hypertension medication. This study aims to explore the experience of hypertension sufferers regarding medication adherence in the working area of the Lansot City Health Center, Tomohon City. The research design used is descriptive qualitative using the in-depth interview approach. The sample in this study used snowballing techniques, amounting to 8 respondents. Data analysis uses thematic analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study on 8 respondents obtained 3 respondents who are not compliant to consume drugs and 5 respondents who are obedient to consume drugs, obtained two main themes, namely encouragement to adhere to consume with the category of benefits that have been felt from routine taking medication, instructions and direction from health workers, and good knowledge of compliance undergoing treatment. Inhibiting factors in the treatment process by the category of effects arising from taking medication, inhibiting behavior, and wrong thinking about treatment. In undergoing the process of treatment in patients with hypertension in adherence to consuming drugs is influenced by the urge to be obedient to consume. In contrast, non-compliance with hypertension patients taking drugs is influenced by factors that can inhibit the treatment process, namely the side effects of hypertension drugs, laziness, forgetfulness, and wrong perceptions in undergoing routine hypertension treatment.
